Informal Transportation Enhancements Act (TEA) Project Survey
BikeAthens is conducting a quick survey about the proposed ACC Transportation Enhancements Act (TEA) projects that are on the upcoming ACC Commission Agenda. The commission will vote on proceeding with the process to submit these proposals on March 1, 2005. The survey is now closed, results listed below.

1- College Station Road Bike Lanes
Construct 5-foot bike lanes along the remainder of College Station Road between Research Road and Barnett Shoals Road.

2 - North Avenue Corridor Enhancement
Beautify and provide transportation enhancements along North Avenue to create a gateway corridor to downtown Athens from the Loop. Involves conversion of the 60-foot, four-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway with a 16-foot median and 5-foot bike lanes between MLK Drive and Old Hull Road (almost to the Loop).

3 - Trail Creek Greenway
Construct a 12-foot multi-use pathway to connect Dudley Park and the new E Athens Community Park via First Street and an abandoned rail corridor into E Athens Park. Includes interpretive displays and small parking lot at the historic Civil War gun emplacement near Chicopee (Cook & Brother Armory). Also includes additional riverfront greenway trail along NE side of Oconee River between First Street and Third Street.
