UGA EMPLOYEES GIVE TO BIKEATHENS
NOTE: Misprint on UGA Campaign For Charities form
Today, UGA employees will receive information on this year’s
Campaign for Charities payroll donation plan. BikeAthens
*should be* listed on the organization form under Georgia
Shares as agency #194064. Due to a misprint, however, this
is not the number on the local form. Please make a note of
it, and please pass it on to any UGA employees you know who
may want to list BikeAthens as a beneficiary.
The Campaign for Charities is an easy way to show your
support for BikeAthens. Thanks for your consideration!
OLD LEXINGTON/BARNETT SHOALS FORUM TONIGHT
Athens-Clarke County will host a public forum tonight
regarding upcoming changes to the Old Lexington Road/Barnett
Shoals Road intersection.

MAYOR & COMMISSION AGENDA SESSION THURSDAY
Prince input accepted
The mayor and commission will hold their October/November
agenda setting session this Thursday, October 20. The agenda
had not yet been posted online as of this writing, but the
proposed three-laning of Prince Avenue is expected to be
among the items discussed in preparation for a November 1
vote. If so, public input regarding Prince will be accepted.
Though the public has spoken clearly and consistently in
favor of safer streets and expanded transportation options
throughout Athens, and ranked Prince Avenue high on the Bike
Master Plan, the future of this vital corridor remains in
doubt. As November 1 approaches, it is important that
commissioners continue to hear from their constituents in
support of three-laning Prince from downtown to Milledge.
ACC Transportation and Public Works will also take input on
three-laning through October 26.
